Starter Package

Bynder's Starter Package offers our most essential modules and features combined with a predefined setup, so that you can get started quickly with minimal effort. Use this package to familiarize yourself with our product and discover what Bynder has to offer for your brand. Find out below what is included.

What is included in the Starter Package

The following modules are included in the Starter Package:

Modules

  • Asset Bank

    With the Asset Bank in the Starter Package you can store, manage and share your assets. Enjoy access to metaproperty, smart filter, tag and user management. Read more about the Asset Bank here.

  • Bynder Analytics Light

    Do you want to know more about your portal usage? Bynder Analytics Light will give you the basic insights you need. Read more about Bynder Analytics Light here.

  • Collections

    With Collections you can group assets together and share this material with internal as well as external users. Read more about Collections here.

  • Homepage

    Create a customized homepage for your portal with our Starter Package. Manage the information you display on your homepage and customize it according to your wishes. Read more about it here.

Derivatives

A derivative is an image file generated from the original asset that Bynder automatically creates during upload. A derivative can be a smaller or cropped version from the original file. You can also use derivatives to have your images automatically available in a different file formats. Read more about derivatives here.

The Starter Package comes with four default derivatives:

  • Large PNG

    This PNG derivative is 300 DPI with 1080 pixels on the longside. This derivative is automatically created during upload for PNG, AI and EPS files.

  • Small PNG This PNG derivative is 72 DPI with 640 pixels on the longside. This derivative is automatically created during upload for PNG, AI and EPS files.

  • Large JPG

    This JPG derivative is 300 DPI with 1080 pixels on the longside. This derivative is automatically created during upload for JPG, JPEG, TIF and TIFF files.

  • Small JPG

    This JPG derivative is 72 DPI with 640 pixels on the longside. This derivative is automatically created during upload for JPG, JPEG, TIF and TIFF files.

Would you like to have customized derivatives with the right dimensions or file type you're looking for? Contact your Customer Success Manager to discuss upgrading to a custom derivative setup.

Metaproperties

Metaproperties are part of your portal's taxonomy and allow you to organize and find assets more easily. Read more about metaproperties here.

The Starter Package will give you access to the most essential metaproperty functionalities.

Would you like to set up metaproperty option dependencies, sub-levels of metaproperty options or restrictions on a metaproperty access level? Contact your Customer Success Manger for upgrading to more advanced metaproperty functionalities.

Permission profiles

The Starter Package comes with five permission profiles with predefined permissions for each profile. This default setup targets a wide range of use cases making sure you can manage your users and access levels from the start without any additional setup required. See the table below for more information on the default permission profiles and their permissions.

SSO

The Starter Package comes with a standard SSO setup allowing users to sign in with just one click. All users will be assigned to the Level 1: View & Download profile. If necessary, administrators can change the users' permission profile after their first login.

The standard setup does not support mapping based on permission profiles or user groups. Contact your Customer Success Manager to discuss upgrading to a more advanced SSO setup.

The starter package includes access to our library of free Bynder supported plugins and integrations. We will provide you and your team the necessary access and documentation to install and configure these plugins.
