Login Configuration Look & Feel

You can customize the login page of your Bynder portal. This includes setting up various login methods in addition to updating the look and feel of the login page.

This Login Configuration article describes a new section where you can manage your login methods and the look and feel of your login page. You may not be using this latest version yet as we've only enabled this version for a limited number of Bynder portals.

Who can edit the login configuration?

Users with the following permissions will be able to update the login configuration:

  • Manage login configuration

  • Manage portal settings

Update the look and feel of the login page
  • Navigate to Settings > Advanced Settings > Portal Setting s.

  • Click Login Configuration on the left sidebar, then Edit Look and Feel.

  • Images [coming soon]: Allows you to select an image from your portal to add as login logo & background image.

  • SSO: Allows you to configure the SSO intro text and buttons on the login page.

    • Intro Text: Click the toggle to show or hide the introduction text, which is often used to welcome or instruct users on how to login via SSO.

      • Click Add translations to add translations, if enabled in your portal.

    • Buttons: You can customize the button that users will click to login via SSO. Click the three dots next to the SSO button that you would like to customize.

      • Edit label: Updates the label of the button

      • Translations: Allows you to add translations, if enabled in your portal.

      • Hide button: Hides the button from view

      • You can reorder the buttons by clicking the reorder icon to drag and drop the button.

  • Username and Password: Allows you to configure if the username and password fields display on the login page, in addition to any login text.

    • Show username and password fields: Click the toggle to show or hide the username and password fields. If users outside your SSO will be logging in the portal, make sure to enable the username and password fields.

    • Show alternative login text: Click the toggle to show or hide alternative login text, which is often used to welcome or instruct users on how to login.

      • Click Add translations to add translations, if enabled in your portal.

  • Error messages: Allows you to customize error messages that appear to users.

    • Access denied: You can customize the message that appears to users if their access is denied during an SSO login attempt. This error may occur if the user is invalid, if they have been deactivated in the portal, etc.

    • Login failed: You can customize the message that appears to users if Bynder was unable to process the login request. This error may occur when validity checks fail, i.e. an outdated certificate when using SAML.

  • Click Save changes.
